Specialized Board and Train Programs for Puppies and Puppy-Loving Adult Dogs
At Denver Dream Dog, we specialize in Board and Train programs for puppies, but we also welcome puppy-loving adult dogs! In this training experience, your puppy or dog will live with Dan Grant or Carie Grant in our homes as part of our family. We focus daily on carefully selected training goals to ensure the best outcomes for your dog.
Program Highlights:
- Fun and Demanding Environment: While the Board and Train program is demanding, it is also fun! Your dog will have the opportunity to romp and roll around with several other dogs.
- Individual and Group Training: Your dog will receive individual obedience training throughout the day, as well as training with other pups in a group setting.
- Free In-Person Transfer Session: When you pick up your pooch, we offer a complimentary in-person transfer session.
- Personalized Training Video: Receive a personalized training video detailing all the skills and commands as a reference. This empowers you to use the new skills at home.

Board & Train Request
LEVEL 1 PUPSTART – Puppy Training for Ages 8-16 Weeks:
Our PupStart program focuses on developing good elimination habits and essential obedience skills for your puppy.
Program Options:
- 10-day Program: $1850 (minimum)
- 2-week Program (recommended): $2400
What Your Puppy Will Learn:
- Housetraining: Establish good elimination habits.
- Basic Obedience Skills: Name recognition, recall, leave it, and “space” (our anti-jumping command).
- Behavioral Training: Curb puppy nipping and practice appropriate chew habits.
- Socialization: Interact and play with other puppies.
Note: While your puppy will receive an introduction to housetraining, their ability to “hold it” will increase as they mature. It’s crucial to maintain a regular schedule of frequent outings.
LEVEL 2 PUPTEEN – Puppy Training for Ages 16 weeks or older, including adults:
Our PupTeen Program is advanced obedience training for potty trained pups. Our program covers a wide range of skills, setting us apart from most others!
- 2-week program: $1850
What Your Puppy Will Learn:
- Sit
- Down
- Stay in Both Positions
- Loose Leash Walk
- Coming When Called
- Space (to address jumping up)
- Leave It (to disengage from something)
- How to Self-Calm
Our Unique Approach:
It’s a brain workout to cover so many concepts, but your dog will also have plenty of downtime to relax. Your little one can explore the oversized yard, roll in the shade with their new canine besties, and enjoy lots of belly rubs from their trainer!
The Denver Dream Dog obedience program focuses on joy, enthusiasm, and the love of learning!
The PupStart and PupTeen programs are ideal for various scenarios:
- Are you leaving town and would like to have your dog professionally trained and cared for while you are gone?
- Does your puppy need to learn good house manners, but you just have too much on your plate right now?
- Do you have a new pup or dog, but the work schedule keeps you from providing the training he needs?
- Would you prefer your pup learn in a welcoming home-based environment, rather than an institutional facility?
Health and Safety Guidelines:
Large Adult Dogs and Giant Breeds: Due to our focus on puppies, accommodating very large adult dogs or giant breeds can be challenging. However, we would love to meet your dog personally to determine if it’s a good fit.
Public Daycare/Kennel Break: If your dog attends public daycare, kennels, or dog parks, please allow a 2-week break before attending Denver Dream Dog. This helps prevent the spread of contagious health issues common at large facilities.
Aggression or Reactivity: To ensure the safety of all dogs in our care, the Board & Train program is not suitable for dogs with aggression or reactivity issues toward other dogs. But we offer private instruction to support any problem areas for your dog!
